Abstract

One of the most important ways to implement the folk musical genres into Russian sacred music of the end of the 20th century was to retain the genuine semantics of the folk sources, which become the signs of the “national.” Another important aspect was the infusion of the vocal and instrumental folk timbres into the spiritual-concert forms, as well as development of theatric aspect of the academic concert genres as a result of introducing the folk rite component.
