Abstract

The article is devoted to the piano compositions by two contemporary Russian composers, “Eindrьck-Ausdrьck” (“Impression-Expression”) by Vladimir Tarnopolsky and “Quintessence” by Yuri Kasparov. During the process of analysis of these works the peculiarities of the realization of the spiritual and material conception by these composers are disclosed. The article demonstrates the diverse approaches and results that manifest themselves these two compositions written in a similar avant-garde style of abstract music.
