Abstract

This article is devoted to examination of
Sergey Prokofiev's Scythian Suite in a new perspective,
in the light of a modernist style.
Connection with musical modernism can be
traced from the points of view of content, figurative
structure of the Suite and musical material.
It allows raising a problem of connection
between Prokofiev's early works and a modernist
style.
