Abstract

The article follows the main stages in development of the genre of Russian spiritual concert. Analyses of spiritual concerts by A.V. Nikolsky and his contemporaries provide the basis for the evaluation of development of the genre. The author lists the features of synthesized generalization which are revealed on the level of composer’ style. In addition, the author provides the overall culturological context.
