Abstract

The article deals with the tradition of reading the Qur’an (Al Koran) in a new light: the author introduces the concept of “Islamic musical rhetoric” (the oppopsite of “Muslim musical rhetoric”) and develops a new methodology for the analysis and the principles of classification of Qur’anic musical rhetorical figures. Author uses the results of material processing with unique software for graphic recording of the process of reading the Qur’an and operating of computer melogramms in the analysis.
