Abstract

The purpose of the article is to attract the readers’ attention to the anniversary of the Ufa State Institute of Arts named after Zagir Ismagilov, to the 55th anniversary of its founding. The work was performed in the genre of an interview with one of the leading professors of the Institute’ Special Piano Department, Lev Aleksandrovich Frank, who is Salavat Yulaev Order holder, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Bashkortostan, the International Competition Prize Winner. The article focuses on his multi-side creative activities as a teacher, performer, and competitions and festivals organizer. It covers the musician’s years of studying at the Moscow Gnesin Music and Pedagogy Institute and considers L.A. Frank’s pedagogical principles.
