Abstract

The object of study in the article is the song tradition of the Temnikov Tatar-Mishars – one of the local-territorial groups of the Tatar-Mishar sub-ethnic group; the subject of study is the peculiarities of evolving the tradition genre composition. The problem is solved on the basis of analyzing the material recorded by folklore expeditions in 2002 and 2021, undertaken by the Kazan State Conservatory. Comparing the different genre components of the Temnikov Tatar-Mishars modern song complex with the corresponding components of the twenty years ago tradition makes it possible to distinguish two types of components in its composition: the first ones should be defined as samples of the song tradition that are stable and not destroyed during their existence. The latter, on the contrary, are mobile and directly dependent on external conditions. The authors come to the conclusion that the genres of the Islamic complex kөylәp uku (baits, munajats, book tunes) have the greatest stability. On the contrary, ritual genres, ethnically characteristic multi-syllable lyrics, as well as late common Tatar lyrics show the least resistance to external influences. At the same time, the genres of vocal lyrics have not disappeared – they have been replaced by modern composer՚s songs. The fact of the almost complete loss of traditional lyrics, the transfer of its function to songs of composer origin, corrects the existing ideas about the features of modern Tatar traditional intonation, initiating further research in this direction.

Keywords: Temnikov Tatars-Mishars, song genres of Tatar folklore, stable and mobile elements of folk song.
