The article represents the narratives of multi-sensory design concept at the current stage, distinguishes the levels of correlation of sounds and shaping the design objects and gives historical parallels. On the example of one of the practical tasks carried out within the discipline «Fundamentals of shaping», multisensory approach is presented as one of the components used in the methodology of development of figurative perception of students (specialty “Design”). This approach is based on the use of visual associations and figurative analogies arising from the interaction of music and design.
